Congratulations to the Jefferson West Lady Tigers Softball Team, on being named our athletes of the week!
Jefferson West claimed their first ever State Championship as they won the 4A-DII State Softball title on Monday in Topeka at Hummer Sports Complex. The Lady Tigers opened the tournament on Sunday with a win over Goodland, 15-0. They then won in the semifinals Sunday over top-seeded Girard, 4-3. Jefferson West concluded the tournament with a 2-1 win in 8 innings over Rock Creek in the State Championship game.

KBCA All-Star Games Story From Topeka Capital-Journal
The Kansas Basketball Coaches Association will hold their annual All-Star Basketball Games this Saturday night at Mabee Arena on the Campus of Kansas Wesleyan University in Salina. The Girls game will begin at 6:00 p.m. with the boys game to follow. Complete rosters for the game can be found below.
8-Man coaching veteran Steve Tiernan has announced his resignation as the Osborne High School football coach and will be heading to Solomon High School for the same position pending approval from the Solomon USD 393 Board of Education. Tiernan spent four seasons at the helm for Osborne, going 39-7, which included a 13-0 season and a 8-Man DI State Championship in 2013. Overall in 13 seasons at Osborne and Baileyville B&B High School, Tiernan is 129-20 with six state championship game appearances, winning the state title in 2008 and 2010 at B&B.
