Well, it has been a terrific 11 year ride, but all good things must come to an end.
I have decided to stop updating www.northeastkansassports.com but not completely shutting it down as maybe someone out there would like to buy this site and expand on what we do.
When we started this site 11 years ago, we were trailblazers in regards to being the first and only website to provide everything Twin Valley League and Big 7 league. Over the past 11 years, we have seen others copy or expand our idea or concept, which we take as a compliment.
The bottom line is I moved away from Northeast Kansas to North Central Kansas almost 9 years ago and over time, it has become tougher to stay connected with so many changes with school consolidations, coaching and athletic director changes, etc.
But probably the biggest reason I came to this decision is I have a ton of responsibilities in so many aspects and it is time to scale back a bit.
I'm the father of 3 boys, coaching almost all of their sports teams, the general manager of two radio stations, doing a daily 3 hour morning show, doing weekly sports games on the radio, etc.......Over time, the long nights of calling games on the radio and then being up until Midnight or later, updating scores or looking for results that weren't reported, caught up to me.
First, I want to thank the sponsors who have supported this site, which allows all of our fans FREE access to the site. Without them, this site would never have gotten off the ground.
Secondy, I want to thank all of the coaches and athletic directors who have cooperated over the years, providing schedules, scores, and more.
And lastly, I want to thank all of you, the sports fans of the teams on this site, for making this site a success for 11 years.
All the best to everyone,
