
In Wathena, Post 55 gave up a bases loaded walk in the bottom of the ninth to drop an 11-10 decision and their third loss in 17 games this year. Ryan Barker had three hits and a couple RBI while Colton Bauman and Ethan Robinson also had multi-hit games and Robinson added a home run. The KC Varsity went on to run-rule Lansing 12-2 in the championship game to win the Doniphan County Invite.
Hiawatha earned their fourth win of the summer in a 11-3 makeup game at Sabetha. At Somerset Park, Gabe Noll tossed seven innings of seven hit ball and struck out seven batters to earn the win. Jordan Marable had a trio of hits and Jereme Jones and Austin Gibson each added two hits for Hiawatha. Hiawatha is now 4-9 while Sabetha falls even to 10-10 despite a two-hit game for Isaac Russell.
