Northeast Kansas Sports.com and United Bank & Trust have teamed up to recognize area athletes with our weekly feature called Athlete of the Week.

This week's Athlete of the Week is Maddie Lindstrom of Hiawatha. 

Lindstrom averaged 13.7 points and 12.7 rebounds per game in the Hiawatha Girls Invitational.  Lindstrom scored a team high 19 points, grabbed 14 rebounds, and made 11 of 14 free throws against Jackson Heights last Thursday in a Redhawk victory.  Lindstrom added 13 points in a win over Nemaha Valley and led the Redhawks with 10 points in a loss to ACCHS.

On the season, Lindstrom is averaging 12.8 and 8.5 rebounds per game

Bern freshman Graham Droge who scored 22 points and made 13-14 free throws against Doniphan West and on Friday against Valley Heights, led Bern with 14 points, 7 steals, and 4 assists in the Indian's first win of the season.

Hiawatha's Taylor Klover who averaged 13.7 and 8.7 rebounds in the Hiawatha Girls Invitational.
