On Thursday, August 5^th in Topeka at the Kansas Basketball Coaches Association (KBCA) Banquet,  Wade Gerstner was selected for the KBCA's Media Award of the Year.  

Gerstner is general manager of KDNS and KZDY Radio in Glen Elder, Kansas and calls play-by-play of area sports teams on KD Country 94 and Z96.3 . In addition, Gerstner is the founder of www.northeastkansassports.com, which covers the Twin Valley and Big 7 Leagues, and www.nckssports.com, which covers teams from the NCAA, Pike Trail, MCL, Twin Lakes, and Cheyenne Conference. The two sites combine to cover 40 high schools and all of their varsity sports in the state of Kansas.
