David Heideman had a two run home run and Jerell Nightingale added two hits as Corning beat Baileyville Wednesday night in Baileyville.
Ben Steinlage's first inning single turned into the game's first run after Jerell Nightingale hit a two out double to right field.  Baileyville's Kyle Haverkamp held Corning's offense in check after giving up the home run to Heideman in the top of the third.  Baileyville evened the game at 4-4 with a two run single in the bottom of the fifth.  However, Johnny Steinlage scored the winning run in Corning's two run seventh inning after his one out single ignited Corning's offense.  Ben Steinlage earned the win; pitching two scoreless innings to close out the game.  Corning (7-4) plays at Bern in league play on Friday night.
