Congratulations to Gerae Haverkamp on being named the Northeast Kansas Sports Athlete of the Week.

Gerae Haverkamp of the Wetmore Cardinals has steadily gotten better as the season has progressed. This week it showed as she put up 17 points against Burlingame on Monday then followed that up with a 14 point performance on the road Tuesday against Doniphan West. As she has shown this year, she was just getting warmed up as she put up a career high 27 points Friday night against Valley Heights. In that contest she also set a career high with 5 three pointers. Once again join me in congratulating Gerae Haverkamp on being named the Northeast Kansas Sports Athlete of the Week.
